Review on Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Lens: Perfect for Nikon DSLR Cameras! by Tawan Rungthip ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The product is good, there are only a few minor flaws.

To the full, very much even to myself such a FIX from NIKKOR ! which you need to have in your arsenal, especially for those who need money)). Makes you see the "photo" in all its glory and remember the b/w film in "SMENE-6(8M)"! It will immediately become clear what aperture (f) and shutter speed (ISO) are. Cramped in the Soviet "Khrushchev" (this is not a drawback, this is a feature of its FR). When buying, I strongly recommend checking for B / F focus and all sorts of perspective distortions. My copy does not suffer from this, which is very pleasing! Yes, I agree about BOKE, it is very special (specifically special) against a contrasting background, but I personally like it. BUY, fasten - you will not regret it, 100% !

Pros
  • I use it on the D90 - I am more than satisfied with the result! A small, light, iron mount, the lens is deeply recessed into the inside of the UV filter is not needed, it focuses very quickly and accurately on a screwdriver (my copy is clearly in the depth of field even under fluorescent lighting and with a flash). PRICE! Does not chromate (not counting f1.8), perspective distortions are invisible. VERY SHARP, already ringing (from f2.2 and above)! Quite easily and accurately controlled in manual mode, no matter what they write here . Very even a portrait portrait !
Cons
  • On the crop (FR-75mm) it is quite difficult to achieve sharpness at f 1.8-2.2, there is a small backlash in the lens that moves out when focusing, is afraid of the dark, it goes completely blind)), "bolts" in BOKE at f3.5 and higher against a contrasting background, small corner, not macro at all (without rings), meager equipment, not even a manual (well, this is more likely for especially beginners) . but the rest is nitpicking. Well, made in CHINA, sorry, but the quality is adequately assembled, albeit plastic.
