I like the overall design of this item. The lack of an AC adapter was frustrating at first, but then I realized that the included micro-USB power cable can be plugged into a useless USB power port on a nearby power strip. The IR setup was a bit confusing at first (you need to connect a sensor) but the instructions cleared it up and this bit worked fine. It shifts reliably and the physical design is appealing. However, I cannot forgive the quality control problem. The unit I received absolutely couldn't support 4k 30Hz output from my Roku (TV lost signal completely when Roku switched to 4k) and couldn't even support 1080p from my Tivo (frequent video/ audio dropouts). I spent time and money blaming other things, but that really turned out to be a shift. Manufacturers must provide sufficient quality assurance to ensure that defects in this type of product are very rare. UGREEN wasted a lot of time. Now let's move on to testing the "ViewHD Prosumer 4k" switcher that literally claims to be the "BEST HDMI v2.0 4x1 switcher in the world". Just take a look!
