Don't listen to Hollows or Homedepot!
My ceiling fan spins slowly. I called Lowes and Home Depot and both told me my ceiling fan wasn't working and the only choice I had was to buy a new one. Google said something. Sure enough, hundreds of these were a common problem with all ceiling fans. After watching the best repair videos on YouTube. I googled the part number. it appeared on amazon. I installed the part carefully and bang! The fan is working again and has been running without problems for at least a month. I would definitely recommend this part as this $6 part saved me $199 on a new ceiling fan.
