Review on Optimized Clutch Release Bearing Assembly - National 614093 by James Edwards

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Arrived defective - ATTENTION! Not the only one!

There's nothing quite like taking your Jeep apart so you're ready for the parts. And the details are broken. Lesson learned. This bearing was severely off-center, rotated roughly, and had sticky dirt on its surface that actually touched the platen fingers. It's one thing to clean a part, but it's completely useless. The clutch kit came with a throw-out bearing - it has a plastic composite bushing, but the front part is metal. I see people complaining about the plastic in the reviews for the kit (LUK kit, 065) but nobody really said they used it and it broke. There are several people on the Jeep forums who have used the TOB kit for 25,000 miles and are still driving, no complaints. It convinced me to try it. This part will be returned and hopefully not shipped to the next buyer. It doesn't seem to happen to some people.
