Mandatory for NSG370 M/T

Much better replacement than OEM. All-steel construction - and this TOB can take a beating. I'm on my 2nd national TOB and they just won't go away. Significantly thicker than TOB MOPAR or LUK replacement. Mandatory for every NSG370 manual gearbox.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Revainrating 5 out of 5

very low quality good for throwout bearing

the bearing itself makes a clicking noise when turned by hand and the bushing and bearing are not centered as other reviews state. Having never heard of a defective LUK plastic bearing, I'm pretty sure it's a higher quality part. It's garbage.

Pros
  • free for educational purposes
Cons
  • could have chosen a newer model

It feels like a tough task. fits clutches and parts

I bought a LUK clutch kit and the bearing that comes with it is 75% plastic. I was advised to buy this one because I won't have any problems in the future. So far, so good. The bearing is very strong and smooth. You can't go wrong with this camp. I highly recommend this brand.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Almost never

I've heard a lot of good things about this product so I gave it a go.

Inferior quality to other products. The metal was pitted, the bearing itself made a noticeable "click" when turning and was also off-center. I heard good reviews about this product so I gave it a try but from other reviews the quality seems to have dropped. or skip. With JK Wrangler's notoriously poorly designed throwout bearing assembly, I would spend the extra money to ensure you get a quality replacement.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

National bearing vibrates after 200 miles

I heard that National makes a better bearing than others so I bought this instead of the one that came with the Luk clutch kit. After 200 miles it is noisy and clearly out of order. I'm so excited to have to drag my wrangler tranny again. Apparently no QA/QC. Don't trust this product. Had to put one star, deserves zero. I am a very dissatisfied customer. I'll look at Chinese fakes, I can't get any worse, and probably National takes its own place there.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Damaged

As a replacement it has a higher build quality than the factory stock. My friend replaced his around the same time and bought a slightly more expensive but actually poorer build quality; The main bearing housing was plastic and rumbled again a week later. My replacement was within three weeks at the time of writing this review and the only rumble is the heavy gearing in my gearbox. Hopefully this one will last for many more years.

Pros
  • Sturdy build
Cons
  • Concise instructions

Arrived defective - ATTENTION! Not the only one!

There's nothing quite like taking your Jeep apart so you're ready for the parts. And the details are broken. Lesson learned. This bearing was severely off-center, rotated roughly, and had sticky dirt on its surface that actually touched the platen fingers. It's one thing to clean a part, but it's completely useless. The clutch kit came with a throw-out bearing - it has a plastic composite bushing, but the front part is metal. I see people complaining about the plastic in the reviews for the kit

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging
