Review on 🎧 beyerdynamic DT 990 Edition 600 Ohm Over-Ear Stereo Headphones: Open Design, Wired High-End, Ideal for Headphone Amplifiers by Bali ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great option for this money, one of the best offers.

Some may not like the high frequencies, but they reproduce them in detail, on high-quality recordings qualitatively, on some high frequencies it does not really stand out, on low-quality ones - either the absence, or emphasized filthy chirping. Unmask defects of low-quality information or compressed material (if mp3 and the like). Probably for an amateur. There are no universal headphones for all. Listen before buying, well, or in a collection of high-quality headphones will not be superfluous. I've been using it for over 10 years. I'm more inclined towards multi-driver hybrid headphones.

Pros
  • High quality playback. Relatively affordable price. Ease of wearing. Cover the ears from the outside, and do not put pressure on them, velor ear pads. HF reproduce in detail, someone may say that it is emphasized, but I will say with restraint, Open - there is no excess pressure.
Cons
  • They require a high-quality source and an amplifier capable of operating with a load of 600 ohms. Extremely tiring on mp3, poking low-quality recordings. This is also a virtue (listen to quality recordings from a quality source). Poor-quality detail, edging the bow, from the cold. Some kind of leather-like material deteriorates over time, becomes sticky on top (it looks like it has been spoiled with alcohol), on the bottom, the material cannot be cleaned when salted, but this detail changes fortunately. The presence of HF may not please some. Open - the sound is heard by others.
