Review on OO9096 Sunglasses Polished Black Clear by Richard Rob

Let me start by saying that I'm not a fan of Oakley, I love them or hate them. I bought these glasses at a fair price. S&H is included here on Revain. I was looking for a black pair to replace an old and somewhat worn pair of black Oakleys that I had had for a while. I saw them in some local stores but I wasn't happy with the prices and customer service so I went to the WWW. I knew they would fit my larger than usual head and provide the eye coverage I expected. I also knew they came with polarized lenses, which I absolutely love. Sure, most local shops could probably order them for me, but why would I do that and pay more when I could get it all done right here and get exactly what I wanted, cheaper and faster? That's exactly what I did. The invoice said it would take 12-17 days for delivery and the person was very concerned. Surprisingly they arrived earlier :) Just 9 days from the order date I received my new fuel cells in matte black with black chrome logos, gray tinted polarized lenses (they matched the black chrome logos) and were right out of the box. . GREAT! Immediately I noticed a small issue, assuming it's completely harmless and seriously not a big deal, but when I ordered them it gave me an option to choose what type of small sock I wanted which was not included. my package. Instead, I got a regular, plain baggy sock in what they call "Jane Root Beer” color. But I'm not one to get upset about spilled milk or trifles. These goggles are very similar to the Gascan goggles once you are familiar with those frames. The only difference is that the temples have a separate small groove and are slightly thicker. Also, this frame has slightly larger lenses than my gascans and sits slightly higher on the bridge of my nose. But apart from these small details, they look almost the same. I mentioned above that I have a pair of gascans that everyone else is now measured against when it comes to fit and everything else in my book. I really love these glasses! They are 99% as good as these. My only real complaint about these glasses, or the frame in particular, is that when they sit a little higher on the bridge of my nose and have these slightly larger lenses, they tend to hit my browbone and sit as close to my eyes as they can at times I can feel my eyelashes. hit the lenses. I've discussed this with a few friends and other owners and they seem to have similar comments/thoughts/issues/whatever you want to call it. But none of the people I've spoken to, including myself, would refuse, return, or trade them for them. So it's a testament, at least in my case, to how perfect, comfortable, and satisfying they otherwise are. ;)
