My double tube round light died after a few years. It's not really of much use. So I checked and found that replacing two dead ring tubes would cost $45+. And there was no guarantee that the ballast had reached the end of its useful life either. Another $20+. So I gave this fixture a try and found it very easy to install and actually gives out more light than the original twin bulbs and costs about 2/5 the cost of fluorescent and ballast. I had to remove the clips holding the tubes. No big deal, they just jumped out and used TwistEms instead of the little wire block they supplied. However. Installs in about 5 minutes. Now we just have to see how long the device lasts.
