Cheap materials, you have to replace shoddy hardware not worth the price.

Although "cheap" compared to other prices of a few hundred dollars or more, I have purchased many similar furniture of my own manufacture that have been of much better quality than this one. I just bought an entire five drawer dresser for my bedroom that was only $30 more expensive than this one but was much better built and reliable. First, the hardware that comes with it is very cheap. I had to go to have a few screws replaced at Home Depot because even the slightest pressure blows off the heads. Forget about using power tools, you have to assemble everything by hand even with better equipment. As for the nails holding the back of the part, I had to pull out a few of them because again they are cheap and bend very easily. Almost any connection never feels tight enough, and before you put your back down, it's going to be very shaky. In terms of use, the shelves are recessed about an inch into the unit, so any DVD/Bluray I put on the shelves will protrude from the actual shelf (who came up with that thing?), even if it's in the photo look flush . Also, due to the fixed shelf, it's not really possible to have the shelves evenly spaced. So if you're just putting DVD/Blu-ray in, you probably have 5 inches of extra space above the top of the shelf. . DVD. It more or less serves my purposes and I don't want to return it as it ALWAYS took time to assemble due to the poor materials mentioned above and the confusing instruction manual, but I would suggest spending your money. money elsewhere.
