The lamp received was original and delivered quickly - used successfully as a Viewsonic 7820 replacement. You will need a tiny screwdriver to change the bulbs - takes about 10-20 minutes (closer to 20 if your original bulb blew up and you need to clean up the broken glass). 5000 hours preserved from the original; about a month of daily use of this replacement bulb, fortunately no problem. If this is your first time trying to change a lightbulb, do yourself two favors: (1) Google and watch a short YouTube video before you begin removing screws that don't need to be removed (on at first glance it wasn't clear to me how the thing was connected); and (2) use thin gloves when working to keep hand oil off the painting (pun intended) and to prolong lamp life.
