After careful research I decided to purchase this radio along with the power supply. I was very happy to receive this product but was quickly overcome by disappointment when I opened the box. I have no idea why this radio has such high ratings and can only assume most of these are fake. That anyone would say this radio is solid, of high quality, or the quality of an item you would want to rely on in an emergency is beyond me. The radio is cheap chinese junk, very thin and poorly constructed. The antenna is weak, the dial buttons are dangling and don't match the markings, the battery cover is very fragile. And in my case the radio turned on but made no sound at all. I attempted to call support as per the poorly written manual that came with the radio and my call was routed to an answering machine. Stay away from this if you're looking for a quality, or at least decent, emergency radio like me. I will continue my search for a better product to replace this one now that it's back on Revain. If anyone knows a good emergency radio, preferably an American one, please reply to this post.
