Say no to palm oil!

Unfortunately, I didn't read the ingredients carefully enough to realize that palm oil is the second ingredient in this recipe. Palm oil production devastates orangutan habitat/populations and is responsible for massive deforestation, animal cruelty and violations of indigenous people's rights and contributes to climate change as vast tracts of forest are cleared for palm oil plantations. I don't want to be part of these atrocities, so I regret purchasing this product. It's also not a healthy oil in general. It's my own fault for not reading the label carefully, but I won't buy it again. And I strongly encourage your company to find another oil for your product. With a name like Brookethorne Naturals, people expect your business to have a "natural" inclination and conscience, so hopefully you'll reconsider what products you want to sell and focus on being a business, that people can trust. without having to carefully study each label. Thanks. Have a good time! Update: The company contacted me to say they will refund my purchase and they also said they believe their palm oil source is environmentally friendly and not abused. From my research, there is no real source of sustainable and sustainable palm oil yet, but I'd gladly be wrong! Hopefully they will be updated as more information becomes available. Nevertheless, I added another star for the good customer service.
