Although this product can be a little messy and awkward to use, it cleans to the core leather seats that have accumulated a lot of dirt over time, that other leather cleaners have bought at auto parts stores, don't even touch it. I ordered this because the brown leather seats on my 2004 Lexus never looked clean despite using a lot of the inferior products I've used. Yes, you have to apply an oily cleaner to the seat and leave it overnight [preferably in hot weather] and then wipe it off with another cleaner, but the results are pretty amazing and satisfying. My seats looked almost new so it was worth the price of the groceries.
