My truck fan gets stuck at maximum power no matter what I do. I've searched online for a possible cause of the problem and found many reports that the resistor is the problem. I searched the Ford parts website and was able to find it at my local dealer. I reserved an OEM resistor at the dealer but it should have been almost $150 including tax. So I found this after researching dealer price alternatives and shipping options instead of going to the dealer because. COVID, you know. It costs about $60 with free Prime shipping, which is less than half the retail price. I'm trying to get OEM parts for my truck and was glad this is part of Motorcraft. I received it in a day or two and watched a YouTube video of the installation process. It was easy to undo and remove the screws from the old one and install the new one. Start your truck and good luck! I will say that this was probably one of the best purchases I made for a truck repair since it would have cost me over $200 to do a dealer repair and $150 to do it myself with a dealer part. I highly recommend if you have a Ford and your fan is hanging high, buy one and replace it. Change the world!
