Waterproof. Not bee or bug proof.

An electrician recently installed an outdoor RCD for me. He didn't have a wet case with him. In the winter we have electricity for the birdbath heater. I ordered this used cover in white to match the box the electrician installed. Only gray was available in local big box stores. One thing to note is that the installation guide is so small that I had to use a magnifying glass to read it. Yes, my eyes are not what they used to be. You may not have this problem. The latches on the lid were not easy to install even after watching a video on how to do it. No matter how hard I tried, they just wouldn't go in. In the end I was lucky, but they fought well. My biggest concern is the knockout part of the box where the power cord comes out of the box. When the box is not used, the remaining hole cannot be sealed. This is an open invitation to wasps and other insects to build a dry house! Because the lid is opaque, when you open the box you won't know if there's anything alive inside! My solution, while not ideal, was to put tape over the hole in the box. I have to remove the tape when the box is in use so I can close the lid and then tape it back in spring. If you install the box vertically, you need to cover a hole. If your box is installed horizontally, you will have two sealing holes. They make another model that offers a blocking solution in grey.
