So many uses it's now a must-have in a closet

I haven't used it on car door panels. I used it to make DIY aquarium lid trims. I made the lids from double-walled polycarbonate, which ensures stability and lets 80% of the light through. A disadvantage is that the air space of the double wall is open at the ends and water can penetrate. I used this tape to seal the edges. It is crystal clear, completely waterproof and adheres well to polycarbonate. The lid looks great on my rimless tank and doesn't ruin the "glass case" look. I will be making this style for all future aquariums. I let it dry for 24 hours after application before exposing it to a humid environment. It sticks well, but you can also remove it without leaving any adhesive residue. Now I find all sorts of uses for this tape. It's silicone under a shiny, transparent, flexible, and slightly stretchy plastic. It's so transparent it doesn't ruin the look of anything I've used it for. I have an old metal aquarium lid from the 1960's and I keep cutting my hand on the sheet metal. I used this tape to trim sharp edges and now I don't cut myself anymore. And it doesn't look bad. In the past I could have chosen duct tape, but this is a much better solution. I used it to cut glass and patch a pin hole on an inflatable plastic alpaca. It's: Crystal clear - surprisingly 100% waterproof Adheres to a wide range of surfaces Leaves no residue when removed Provides low thickness and cushioning Easy to apply Conforms to smooth curves Easy to trim Can be repositioned before pressing on. I don't need to trim the car doors, but aside from the potential problem of straightening the tape (it's mostly duct tape, after all), I think it will work just fine.
