Nice jeans belt. good for straps

After getting it HERE with leather straps that flexed and rolled in the back because my waist to hip ratio wasn't small enough to lay flat I decided to give it a go to give Try elastic straps with my jeans. (Honestly, the lack of volume from the buckle seemed nice to me, too.) Most of my jeans are a little larger at the waist than I need for my hips, so I needed something to soften the difference without rolling or to bend. Especially when I was sitting or leaning forward. I should probably say I prefer midrise jeans or higher. I'm not sure if this belt is effective on low rise pants. To be honest I was surprised how much I like this belt. I tried the "transparent" belt as shown on TV but didn't really like the look even though it was mostly hidden. Good job of covering the back gap and keeping my jeans from riding down too much when I'm sitting or leaning forward. It's also far more comfortable than a leather belt, which was an unexpected bonus. No, it doesn't hold my pants up as well as a stiff leather belt, but it does a decent job with much more comfort than a more durable belt. Because the elastic isn't as "tight" as other straps of this type, it's also easier to untie during the day since it doesn't come off as far. Other straps I've used resulted in having to fish them back through loops and wasting time twisting the strap back so it lays flat every time I need to undo it. The thicker size and slightly less stretch help control this a bit, which is nice.
