There is a lot of feedback on what works and what doesn't. So let me be specific. I wanted to use my existing headset - an older Etymotic ety.com that terminates in a 2.5mm 3 wire plug - with my new phone - an Asus ZenFone 2E with a 3.5mm audio jack. This adapter is ideal for this purpose. There are no problems with landing, sound, microphone or earphones. This contradicts the product description, the first paragraph ("No speaker or microphone functions are supported on the headset"). What can I say? I dared and was lucky. Maybe.
