Excellent. Easy. Exactly what the product promises. Works exactly how I needed it to use the old flash start cable with the PocketWizard (yes I don't even use it for audio) and saved me some money compared to buying a new cable for this purpose.

The inner joint occasionally came loose and touched when moving the jack. It was completely useless. Just to see what was going on I cut one open and there were some wrinkled contacts inside. There was no way to hold the jack securely.

I was looking for an adapter to make my Panasonic headset work with my laptop which only has a 'headset' jack. I've just tried this and it doesn't work for this purpose (it's just a possibility). So if you want to use a headset for two-way communication, this isn't what you need. I don't know if it's fair to vote, but I think the description should be accurate about that.

I gave this product 4 stars because it 'worked' but the large black plastic outer shield or case was too thick to fit in headphones. Hole (not the jack itself) so it needed some trimming with a single edged blade. Now it looks a little ridiculous up close, but at least it now allows the socket to go far enough to make contact with the inner (female) part. I just hope it holds together with the missing piece of plastic. But I'm glad I bought it and it makes a big difference.

There is a lot of feedback on what works and what doesn't. So let me be specific. I wanted to use my existing headset - an older Etymotic ety.com that terminates in a 2.5mm 3 wire plug - with my new phone - an Asus ZenFone 2E with a 3.5mm audio jack. This adapter is ideal for this purpose. There are no problems with landing, sound, microphone or earphones. This contradicts the product description, the first paragraph ("No speaker or microphone functions are supported on the headset"). What can…
