We originally bought this ring light to make YouTube videos. There were a lot of good reviews about it online so we decided to take a risk and bought it. While we haven't used it to create a video yet, we recently used it for a photoshoot and are very happy with the results! The ring light was the only light source in these photos, and while we stuck to minimal Photoshop editing (cool effects came from a shiny streamer purchased from Dollar Tree), the ability to darken and lighten it was our best tool . It also comes with amazing filters to diffuse and soften the light, but we didn't bother with that this time. We are very excited to continue our projects with this newly found must-have item!
