I do pedicures with them and I literally have to take them out of the towel warmer and put them on a towel for a minute before I can put them on my clients feet, I'm afraid. burn, but I'd rather do that than leave them hot enough to be usable. They retain heat very well for this application and I can do longer stone massages. They are also a good size and thickness. Excellent purchase!
