DualLock makes no sense at all

I support UAG for making a really tough case for my 16 inch Macbook Pro. However, once I installed it on my laptop, I went further than an eggshell every time I lifted my monitor to open it. DualLock causes the monitor to either flex or tilt towards the corner, still clinging to the corner of the laptop. Very high risk of damaging the monitor. What I did? I cut off the rubber hook on the corner with a sharp knife, now I can open my laptop without worrying about the monitor breaking in half.
