💼 URBAN ARMOR GEAR UAG 16-inch MacBook Pro Case - Plyo Feather-Light Rugged Cover (Ice) Review

I support UAG for making a really tough case for my 16 inch Macbook Pro. However, once I installed it on my laptop, I went further than an eggshell every time I lifted my monitor to open it. DualLock causes the monitor to either flex or tilt towards the corner, still clinging to the corner of the laptop. Very high risk of damaging the monitor. What I did? I cut off the rubber hook on the corner with a sharp knife, now I can open my laptop without worrying about the monitor breaking in half.

I used to buy a UAG bag for a 2015 Macbook Pro and a 2019 13" Macbook Pro. I liked them so much that the UAG- Case was my first choice for my 2019 16" Macbook Pro. It fits perfectly and looks elegant yet sturdy. If you've tried the other cases I've mentioned on my Macbooks, this one looks very similar. I highly recommend. I've had UAG cases for 3 other MacBooks and a MacBook Pro and have been happy with them, but with this one was with high probability poorly constructed and cracks the monitor. You really have to get this thing to turn on, and it's very difficult to turn on and off. The problem is that UAG should have used a more flexible plastic for this computer and designed the top and bottom for independent installation (this would allow installation with the computer fully enclosed. I bought this for traveling. It seems like a great case, but when I installed it according to the manufacturer's instructions, I couldn't get a firm fit on the screen. I've also tried using one of the adapters I bought that uses 2x USB-C on one side and I can't use that adapter with this case. If you have another adapter and can attach it firmly to your computer screen, this could be a great case.

The case never fitted perfectly, it's very chunky and I just didn't feel it. So I tried to take it off, it broke my laptop in half. I'm so angry now I'll be without a laptop for weeks. I got a non-refundable refund but I have to buy another case and now I've used up $100 on my insurance deductible. Worst purchase ever
