These clips worked really well to keep the charging cables of my phone, iPad, kindle etc organized and accessible to plug in the device. But in one instance, I attached a clip to the side of a nearby bookshelf, routed the cords through to charge my Kindle and phone, and then over the devices on my bedside table near the attachment point. It works, but the clip keeps trying to detach from the attachment point, apparently under the weight of the cords. I still use it but expect the adhesive backing to fail completely at some point.
