The product itself is amazing, one of the best built and best sounding speakers of this size I have ever heard. No one will or should complain about the sound quality, except for audio snobs who are somehow able to hear frequencies no one else can. So, one of the main issues is the battery and charger. This speaker requires a power adapter. Instead of a power adapter, a mobile phone charger with a micro USB connection is used. Seems like a lot of devices are going this route and I hate it. First, the battery lasts decently and forever at low volume; However, charging with a micro USB charger takes forever. Second, you can't hear the speaker while it's charging, so you can basically leave it plugged in at home with an AC adapter. For the most part, this device is designed to operate on battery power only. I noticed this shortcoming when the battery was low, I thought I could plug in the charger and keep listening, but the device kept turning off because the charge wasn't high enough yet. This makes me question the long-term value of the speaker. What happens if the battery doesn't hold a charge? With an AC adapter, you can keep using it at home. I'm still keeping the speaker because it sounds so great!
