I bought a 5-in-1 USB Type-C hub to use with my Galaxy S9+ in DeX mode. I chose 5-in-1 over 4-in-1 because it allows me to access multiple media types (SD, Micro-SD and USB3) without additional adapters, which I really appreciate. I also bought a foldable bluetooth keyboard for this, I'm thinking a mouse later but I don't need a mouse. It doesn't really have anything to do with this product, but it might be useful to know when the phone's screen turns into a touchpad in DeX mode with a Bluetooth keyboard! This was my first time using DeX and I was really impressed with it. DeX itself isn't as perfect as I'd like it to be, but it serves the purpose. I wish Samsung would pay more attention to it because I find this technology extremely useful. I see that eventually we will get to the point where our phones will be the only computer we need. There is still a long way to go because there are still many things that are not available in the Android ecosystem. Now more about this one special product and really good, it feels solid in my hand. I just want the USB-C cable to be detachable so I can use a longer cable without an extension and I have a feeling this cable will fail first so it might make this thing perfect to be able to replace. I knew about this when I bought it, so I'm not deducting stars for that, but it's something to consider. Connections are strong. I tested all different media types and was able to access all of them (USB stick, SD card and micro SD card). I didn't have a 4K monitor to test with, but it was connected to a 1080p display via HDMI. without problems. The refresh rate was good enough. I played a few games to test the response and it wasn't bad. I also watched a few YouTube videos and they all ran smoothly. The audio came out clearly and in sync with the video through the headphones plugged into my phone, the speakers in the monitor, and a Bluetooth speaker (which I already knew had no audio delay). I also tested this with RF. wireless keyboard and mouse via USB3 port and that worked fine too. When the hub is connected to an external 5V source via a USB-C socket, it charges my phone at full speed. This also works with the battery pack. For your information. As stated in the product information, you need to connect a 5V power supply to this device to enable DeX mode. Overall, this device does everything I need and I am very happy with my purchase.
