Review on Hosa GPR-104 1/4-Inch Female TS to RCA Male Adapter by Alina Manley

Problem with that adapter not providing a reliable connection? Here is an EASY SOLUTION.

I've had trouble getting these adapters to connect reliably. Without them they are useless. And yes, I snapped them into place. Believe me. Judging by many other reviews I was not alone. And I'm willing to bet others with this problem are firmly in place too. trust them I considered just throwing mine away and buying another product but it seemed like a waste of time. So I looked into the problem and came up with the following solution, which was passed as an instruction. Just three simple steps and all you need is a small screwdriver: 1) Look into the hollow end of the adapter. You should see a short copper colored clip extending from the bottom of the adapter close to the wall. The top of the clip closest to you is flexible and bendable. 2) Insert a small flat head screwdriver (or other suitable and convenient) into the hollow end of the adapter so that the screwdriver lies between the clip and against the wall 3) Bend the clip away from the wall towards the center of the recess . Not too far or you could block the way or damage the clip, but far enough that the clip makes good contact when you insert the cable into the adapter. It took me two tries to get it right. If you're worried about damaging the clip, bend it a bit and then reinsert the cable and see if it gets better. Repeat until you get it right. A few observations - while the properly snapped connection between my cable and one of the adapters still had some slack, with the clip bent into place, the hiss, dropouts and sudden bursts of noise are gone. And not a second before. Before I had my adapters repaired, I was on the verge of panicking at the sudden, unpredictable, and deafening noises coming out of my amp, sometimes at the slightest movement of my guitar. No product should require repair immediately after unpacking. But apparently it was just a bad batch that some of us were unlucky to get. trust us I have bought other Hosa products and have been very satisfied. I'm sure I will buy more. - Despite the above issue, I think this is a really good adapter. Otherwise I might have thrown it away as soon as it failed. It's built with good materials that should last a long time. Some other adapters have too much plastic in them. These pants have a stylish design and the finger-friendly dimple on the sleeve is a nice touch. It's easy to install, just snaps into place. Unless, of course, it needs to be repaired. (see above). But most importantly, it's a simple, inexpensive, and even elegant solution to a common problem with straight cable ends: Because they stick straight into space, they cause and require a shock. And when they become enough, the equipment needs to be repaired or replaced. Having replaced the guitar cable and repaired the output jacks on both the guitar and amp due to this issue, I was glad when I stumbled across these. And now that they're working properly, I'm even happier. In fact, I'm so glad, I'm so glad, I'm glad, I'm glad, I'm glad. And for those who need this fix, I hope it works for you and brings you joy. Believe it.
