Review on Havit 5 Fans Laptop Cooling Pad: Enhanced Cooling Performance for 14-17 Inch Laptops, LED Light, Dual USB 2.0 Ports, Adjustable Stand (Black) by John Wood

I have a 17" Alienware M17x which is about 5 years old and gets so hot that you can't hold it on your lap after a few minutes and regularly shuts down due to overheating. I have at least Bought 5 cooling pads like Thermaltake blocks and other inexpensive items. None of them cooled my laptop, at most they kept it warm. And each of them had their own problems. The Thermaltake block had plastic feet that cracked and broke relatively easily. Huge old one Laptop has been on all day. Laptop feels really cool! I really like the wheel on the side that allows you to adjust the fan speed, but even at the highest speeds it's very quiet (many cooling pads have fans that turn on a make annoying squeaks.) The little feet on top of the pad do a great job of lifting the pad up from whatever surface you've placed it on (un d they can be removed), and they appeared to be well designed and not prone to breakage. The bright red LEDs ALMOST put me off buying this as I often leave my laptop on my bedside table in a dark room at night. But my laptop covers the headlights completely, so no problem with that. The ONLY gripe I have to criticize is that a couple of small rubber pads taped to the bottom of the pad fell off and I lost them, but that's minor compared to the fact that this cooling pad actually cools my previously uncooled laptop!
