The light is very bright at the highest settings and very adequate at the low settings. I like how you can adjust the angle of the light. Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries are a big plus. The ONLY thing I don't like is the small size and the placement of the power buttons. They are very small and almost flush with the body of the device. Pressing the keys with gloves is almost impossible. Even without gloves, you have to press the power button with your fingernail. I always turn on the light BEFORE I put the bandage on so I can see where the buttons are and press them with my fingernail. It's not a showstopper, but it's annoying
