Review on Loctite 483631 Thread Sealant 6 Mililiter by George Bridgewater

After I replaced my thermostat housing with the supplied fiber gasket it was leaking. The second time I used the RTV I had a bottom bolt leak and thought…. Great, gotta pull the 3rd time. I tried this stuff in hopes it would fix a leaking bolt. I used this "wet" so I wasn't sure if it would solve the problem. I coated the threads AND put a small amount of RTV on the head of the bolt. Replace the screw and hand tighten. Leave for two hours as recommended by RTV. Then tighten to 11 pounds. He then lasted 24 hours before testing it. No leaks! I highly recommend using this on all water pump/thermostat housings to avoid leaks in the first part. The main reason I wanted to check it out is because I've used it in wet conditions and it still sealed my leak without having to drain the block again. Highly recommended
