As my 2020 VW doesn't have USB ports I had to connect the adapter to 12V to run it. I'm worried because the adapter makes a lot of noise on the 12V port, but the air purifier itself is very quiet. I'm just worried if this will damage the car battery due to the noise of the USB 112V adapter. Otherwise, the air purifier turns on and seems to work as advertised, except the air it's cleaning is in the cup holder. It seems like a bad idea to me to place the air intake at the bottom where it's completely covered by the cup holder and the little ribs that the cup holder needs to hold the cups securely. It needs to be lifted much higher to work properly and there are two problems with that: 1. It will tip over while driving if not fully secured, causing a problem when you need to change the filter; and 2. Leaving it in sight, say on the dashboard, will also lead to break-ins because there are people who want something from your car. So, right now I'm not sure what to do with it, but it moves the air slightly from above and the blue light comes on. It didn't help me to breathe in the car after doing a few long drives with it (it takes me 50 miles each way to get to my destination). Perhaps this was inefficient because, as I said, the entire air intake is hidden in the cup holder, where it's said to be best placed. So far not impressed.
