Works like original equipment.
I was hoping that the new cable would allow the battery to be charged without having to remove the battery and install a separate charger. If there was this additional ability I would rate it a 5. This must be a limitation of the camera's internal circuitry and has nothing to do with the cable. But the cable allowed me to upload my photos however I wanted.
