To make it clear to everyone that this is DOT 5.1 and not DOT 5. If you take DOT 3 or 4 you can use that as an upgrade. If you have a new car beware that this fluid will be thicker and will activate your ABS sooner if you are not careful. I use it in my new car with ABS and the pedal feels fantastic. If you are unsure about driving I would recommend using the Motuls DOT 5.1 version, it is the thinnest racing fluid on the market designed for ABS.
