This player should be of older technology. I was trying to play a DVD recorded from a digital camcorder and it skipped, skipped, stopped and generally had problems. To test the DVD I played it on a Sony DVD player and it worked like clockwork. I think the old adage works here - you get what you pay for. With more and more DVDs being burned on computers and recorders, it seems that only top brand players or newer models should be bought.
