Review on πŸ”‘ Replacement Blade Inserts for Mazda Smart Key Card - 2 Pack, No Transponder Chip, Uncut - by QualityKeylessPlus by John Espindola

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works in my trunk, doors and glove box on my RX-8, not the ignition. He doesn't have a chip.

I have a 2006 Mazda RX-8 with keyless ignition. A few years ago the sensors that recognized the key fob stopped working to unlock the car and about two years later the sensors in the car stopped recognizing the key fob. Consequently, I'm forced to use the real key to start the car and use the buttons on the key fob to open the doors remotely. About two years ago I lost the key in one of my two factory keys and I couldn't find it. Now I only have one key to start the car. I bought this set just in case I can use it to start the car as the key light is on the dashboard almost all the time now. A new factory key costs almost $200. No luck as they DO NOT WORK for ignition key replacement. But they work on the doors, trunk and glove box. And they allow you to TURN the ignition key in the steering column. But the ignition is off via the alarm system. I need to buy a factory key when I have $$$. As I said, it works on the trunk, doors and glove box. However, there aren't many ways to use it for a service key.

Pros
  • cool item
Cons
  • very expensive
