Love the quality of these pens, especially for the price. The set contains 30 pens. The pencil bodies are uncolored wood and have a slightly textured finish (ie they don't feel super smooth and slippery like Crayola 24 Ct Colored Pencils, Assorted Colors). Most colored pencils blend well with paint. Colors look rich and vibrant on paper, and it's easy to get heavy coverage. I was particularly impressed by the yellow, red and blue tones. I'm having trouble getting rich on certain greens, but that's not a deal breaker. However, I would advise you to use a pencil sharpener other than a tiny hand sharpener.
