I bought a lot of beans and rice and they're all in these plastic bags. I know it doesn't stay fresh for long and if there are any creatures in the house they can gnaw through it and then my food becomes useless. I have a food processor but it doesn't have room for a hose and vacuum jars so I didn't want to buy another food saver as I no longer have room for large appliances. So what to do? Then I found this gadget. Perfect for use with no equipment other than my hands and fingers. And the price isn't bad either. It arrived today and I have to say I am enjoying making canned rice and beans. What I like best is that you don't have to buy a bunch of specialty bottles. Use that spaghetti can you saved, use an old tin can or tin cans. Simply make a small hole in the top of any jar and place the tab over the hole, then pump the handle. I train my arms and go easy on my food, who wants more? :) Being single I don't eat much so I often buy in bulk and before I can eat it all some of the food spoils but with this device I can pump all the air out and it stays fresh much longer . The good thing is that the tabs are reusable so I don't have to buy new lids after using this seal once. I'm so glad I found this and if the network goes down I can still use this gadget. I'm so happy I have this - now I need to find more jars to finish packing the rice and beans.
