Designed to use these blocks to connect them together in the middle of the cable that connects the boards of the prototyping equipment. I expected to have to remove the two female contacts on one of the connectors in order for them to connect, but I soon discovered that the pins on the connector block also held the shield on the connector. On the female side, the strainer is part of the fork. Since in my application it didn't matter which side the female screw terminals were on, I simply reversed the assignment. To hold them together tightly I found an old cable with a set of thumbscrews that worked great.
