The device works fine as long as you are within 20 feet or so, but the distance from the monitor to the transmitter was more than 30 feet. I called them to see if a longer antenna would increase signal strength and if the transmitter and monitor would need to be in each other's place. I could increase it to 10 feet and the monitor and transmitter don't have to be in line to receive the signal as the transmitter is not waterproof. was his answer.
