Review on 🍲 Enhance Your Cooking Experience with the Oster 5716 Programmable Digital Food Steamer, Black by Scott Yenson

There are a few things to keep in mind.

My last steamer was bought in the Stone Age so I was very pleased to get this snazzy new biplane steamer from Auster. And yes, the updated technology is good. I can program the cooking start time and the cooking time. Additionally, the machine's sleek design allows for near-instant vaping. Finally, I occasionally find a use for deck cooking when cooking protein along with veggies. However, there are some points that you should consider before purchasing this device. It's big, really big (even with the maximum memory array). Measure your cabinet or counter before purchasing this item. My wife never uses the tiered loading feature so the size of this thing drives her crazy. And unlike other reviewers, I found cleaning this thing to be a pain. It's all well and good if you only cook vegetables. However, Auster, in his boundless wisdom, put all those ingenious grooves on the cooking surface of the steamer baskets that collect stubborn fat deposits that form when chicken or fish is cooked. Also, unlike the Stone Age steamer, you have to clean the cooking vessels AND the stove itself. Hand washing the bins makes me want to bang my head through the wall, but I've finally come to terms with the steamer by simply using the dishwasher on the bins (although I did use large dishwasher surfaces while doing so). Finally, although the machine steams quickly, the cooking time seems a little longer than my old-school steamer. So if you are looking for peace and simplicity in your life, then get yourself an old school steamer. If you're into knick-knacks - and like me - eat tons of steamed food that justifies the use of two-tier bins, then order a new fashion piece from Auster. Just know what you're getting yourself into.
