I love this external battery grip for my Canon Rebel T3i. That works great. My camera is definitely easier to handle with the extra grip on the bottom, especially for portrait/portrait photos. Weighs quite a bit, the only extra weight is 2 batteries, not the ones you normally use in the camera itself. Be sure to carefully remove the door from your camera's battery compartment. 30-45 degree angle to remove it successfully. Be sure to gently turn the small door switch on the battery handle to remove the battery protection cover. It seems a little flimsy as it's made out of plain black plastic. But otherwise very sturdy and well made. The only reason I gave this product 4 stars instead of 5 might just be my own fault, but I have found that when I use the external pack on my camera for both the backpack and the camera in the ex- position, the batteries are dead, as if nothing had happened. I fully charged 2 lp-e8 li-ion batteries and used the camera and backpack, and the next day, in the afternoon, both batteries were dead. So I'm not sure if it's just common sense to remove the packaging when you're done and replace the door and whatnot, or if it shouldn't do it at all. Hope this helps all potential buyers!
