I almost always had cats. I adore her, so my house has never felt without her. One of the very few things I dislike about indoor cats is their ability to track litter outside of the litter box and often elsewhere. To counteract this, like many cat owners, I have tried many different mats designed to trap that extra dirt. Fabric options often need to be swept or vacuumed to keep unsightly dirt from getting all over the place, but the ones I think I hate the most are rugs with mélange finishes, which get a certain amount of trash and you get the bulk can shake off the throw. . back and into the bowl. but one day debris accumulates in it, weighing the carpet down and you won't be able to shake it out for the rest of your LIFE. Well it drives me crazy! While this bin catcher isn't the cheapest, it's not that much more expensive than other options and this tray is so durable I'd be surprised if it didn't outlast my YEARS and years! And how do I remove ALL stuck residue? There is a shelf under the catch net that makes this very easy! This is a very large size, especially if you have large litter boxes (like I have for my 3 favorite boys) so all the space they're likely to throw litter in is taken up by single hole drawers. Have that rug ready - my OCD tendencies (or just plain stiffness) are alleviated by the knowledge that I don't have to sweep, fire up the robot vacuum, or do anything else to ensure all debris is caught and cleared away. Perhaps the only improvement I can think of is to offer it in a few other colors to match and camouflage the filler you use around your home. Otherwise it's PERFECT!
