There have been issues with drawers getting stuck opening and closing because it's wood on wood. I simply rubbed scented melting wax wherever the wood touched the shelf and drawer bottoms. Since then it works. Eventually the smell went away. Any type of wax will work, including unscented candles. It's more like drawers with slides because you can easily slide the drawers in and out.
