Review on πŸ”§ Williams 1238SC Combination Wrench 16 Inch: Heavy-Duty Versatility and Long Reach for Optimum Performance by Robbie Guinn

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Misleading product description, but still a great tip!

Just bought black 1 1/8 inch for $16. Came back later the same day to check the order and the same key was $42. Is this Revain for you? I got a good deal. Anyway, the Black Key is 15 inches long and definitely has an 'Industrial Black Finish'. NOT shiny as the description photo suggests. He's scruffy. My pictures of the key are just after unboxing. It's all black sooty crap and a plastic bag it came in made my hands turn black. Had to wash it with soap and water. Compared to my US craftsman, it's a little more durable in size and a little heavier. It's an extremely heavy wrench. Open gaps are fairly accurate and comparable to my craftsman. Put it on a nut and it definitely won't round the nut. The sling is also very tight and strong. Exact Williams, USA and part number so I'm pretty sure I got it right oh wi wrenches. It seems like the real deal, and even at the higher price point, it's a great, quality tool, made in the USA and well worth the price. He is able to withstand severe abuse throughout his life. But were it not for the low price I paid I would return the key and take the silver one. While I imagine a gloss black painted wrench would eventually break and look bad, this industrial black just looks like a dirty wrench. A cleaned silver key is silver, this cleaned key is dirty black. Great guide, but I hope I've given you an idea of what you're buying. Not high-gloss black, but industrial black.
