For the price you can't beat this little coffee maker, it uses either K-cups or grounds. Initially I had problems with K-Cups, although I followed the instructions. I have soil in my cup and also let it fly everywhere as other reviewers have said. I tried snapping the K-Cup according to the manufacturer's instructions, but the cups I used might be too hard plastic, right? I just couldn't put them in their place. After looking at other reviews and studying the design, I came up with a method that works best for me. I've found that if I press the K-Cup and poke the desired hole in the bottom of the cup, then pull it out and rotate it 45 degrees or so, make another hole, then pull the cup out and the "knife." " from the picture (grey plastic with "knife" making the bottom hole) and place the cup flush with the bottom and release the "knife" then followed the rest of the manufacturer's instructions, everything worked perfectly . As other reviews say, it's noisy! But it works.
