Great Idea - Irregular Shape
Unlike most lumbar supports, this pillow is not dog bone shaped, more support on the sides and less in the middle. On the contrary - thick in the middle and tapering towards the edges. This means your back is metastable as it rests on this bulge. You can mitigate this somewhat by inflating the cushion only halfway, but then it may not be thick enough for its intended use. The hand pump is weak but functional, and it's great to have smooth volume control. However, the poorly designed shape is not as comfortable as a traditional lumbar pillow.
