Most devices come with batteries or rechargeable USB devices, but this particular part will not work. It's okay, you need two AA batteries ⚡ handy anyway. We were concerned about the sound, the pictures show it to be under 35dB and the pictures with instructions in the description show it to be 45.6dB. It was pretty quiet, but the baby made a little fuss when we turned it on. You don't have to use this on an infant/toddler, two of the pads provided are for adults. As with any motorized device, I found it more convenient to press my nails against the disc than to manually run them over a pin. The bag that came with it came in very handy, after we used it everything fit again. There are extra discs included for the folder, so you'll need to find a place for them. I really liked that you can adjust the clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. This made changing hands very convenient. I recommend it.
