These knee pads are NOT suitable for cycling. Probably ok for riding. The two "buckles" on each Velcro pad are too tight together causing painful pinching under the knees when my daughter bends her knees to pedal the bike. Since this was the main reason for our purchase, the set is unusable for us. I'm only giving it two stars because the elbow and wrist guards feel comfortable.
