Upgrade Review not as durable as I thought

Nicely designed stand. Today I want to access my truck with only 2 bikes on the rack. As I lifted the handle to lower the swing onto my trunk. I slowly lower the bike with my hand. The rack kept moving until the bike hit the ground. Now the arm is bent. Not exactly reliable as these reviews say. Last week my bike fell off the stand while I was driving. Luckily a strap came loose, I used the nylon strap they included with the bike which would have resulted in a serious accident.
