So I tried to apply the liquid DIRECTLY to the windshield and spread it with a microfiber cloth with a little effort, waited about 30 minutes and then wiped off the white layer. After you apply the liquid, you won't be able to see much through the windshield. **) The next day was rainy and all the grease stains were gone.
